This website serves as a home-base for the ex-members of a single battalion of the Queen`s Regiment, (1966-1992), which used to be the Royal Sussex Regiment (1701-1966). I really hope you will like & most important, enjoy the new website.

I extend a warm welcome to you all - from all around the world. I hope you enjoy looking through the site, with its hundreds of catalogued photographs covering over 50 years of Regimental life. There are many different pages to view, from the Battalion life, year for year, in timeline

(sand-bucket needed !)

So.....go on, go in, visit them all, and enjoy exploring them.

Look at & read all, laugh, cry and remember.    the bat

The aim of this website is to provide a useful meeting place, that is both informative and amusing,

for people with an interest in 3rd Bn.The Queens Regiment or 1st Bn. Royal Sussex Regiment.

I do not wish to compete with any Regimental Associations, Facebook or other organizations.

Users can expect to find a concentration on Remembrance, Reunion, re-establishing communication, and upholding the Regiment`s historical legacy through photographs and research.

In addition, there is the Regimental Information-flow from various sources & even a little banter.

I act and have acted, as relay voice for ex-members in issues concerning : Benefits, Claims, Pensions and Benevolence. I have found lost “brothers in arms”, reunited families/friends & found war-graves.

I answer historical questions, queries on badges, crests or colours, re-unite long lost kids with their parents and write articles, stories & do graphic-design for a number of other outlets.

I liaise closely with The Royal Sussex Regimental Museum, Regimental Archives and the Royal Sussex Regimental Assoc. Two thirds of the website`s activities take place in the background, so as not to marr your experience onsite.

This website is "non-profit" & independent. It is not affiliated or connected in any way, to the Queens Regimental Association. In the event of your aims differing from those of the website , I am open to your suggestions.    the bat
